M.J. Mariano, Ph.D

M.J. Mariano, Ph.D. is a Staff Psychologist at the Puget Sound Veterans Affairs Health Care System and a Clinical Associate Professor in the UW Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  She has over 30 years of experience working with veterans in a broad array of clinical programs and has focused interests in trauma treatment, mind-body integration and health psychology with a special emphasis on caring for women.  Dr. Mariano has provided clinical services in the Seattle Women’s Health Clinic for close to 20 years and served women in a program for treatment of military sexual trauma for many years.  In addition to direct patient care, Dr. Mariano develops and consults on treatment programs, provides clinical supervision and has presented to local and national audiences on issues related to the needs of women veterans.
