Dan Overton is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist who also holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling, is currently licensed in the State of Washington (LHMC), has been an adjunct professor for over a decade with Western International University and has been working with veterans since the beginning of his professional career at the Seattle VA Medical Center in the mid-1980s. Since that time, he has helped develop programs for inpatient and outpatient substance abuse and mental health programs in the public and private sector as a clinician, a clinical supervisor and a program manager. He has worked in the areas of court ordered treatment, crisis intervention and program development with social and health agencies, law enforcement, the courts, corrections and community corrections in Arizona, Wyoming and Washington. He has been formally recognized for his work by the Arizona Governor’s office and Washington States’ - State Innovation Award. He has presented professionally to groups of 400 or more and “brown bag” meeting with local professionals.
