Candace Hammer Chaney RN-CHPN, PhD is the Director of Clinical, Social Work, and Volunteer services for a national hospice provider. She’s a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse and has served as Hospice Administrator, Nurse Educator, Hospice and Palliative Nursing Core Curriculum Trainer, Nurse Liaison, and Comfort Therapy Program Director for Hospice agencies in WA State for the past 19 years. She serves on the WA State Hospice and Palliative Care Committee and provides education to providers across the country on Hospice and Palliative Care. For the past 15 years she has participated in NIH funded research on Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) in Hospice and Palliative Care, the impact of CAM on Caregiver Stress, and she has consulted on a number of articles and books on the application of CAM on health and on quality of life at the end of life. Candace loves empowering individuals to reach their own goals and joyful co-creation.
