Details: Prolonged exposure therapy (PE) is a type of behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy intended for treating post-traumatic stress disorder through the re-experiencing of traumatic events and remembering and engaging with these experiences. This workshop will expand on the training provided earlier in the month.
Objectives: 1). Participants will be able to discuss how to conceptualize cases using emotional processing theory. 2). Participants will be able to elucidate new strategies for in vivo exposure. 3). Participants will be able to identify new approaches to using imaginal exposure to challenge trauma-related beliefs.
